The Things Above

 Jesus death and resurrection does not just centres around him alone, but it also centres around we the believers. And if as believers, we are risen with Christ, we are told to SEEK THE THINGS ABOVE.  Colossians 3:1 says

 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

 We are to seek the things above because if a man don't seek,  can that man find ? The answer is NO

If there are things above, definitely, there are things beneath ( the things on the earth )  For instance, have you seen a Star on the ground before or a Grass in the sky before ? This is not possible because the things above are far and different from the things beneath. As believers we are to set our affections, we are to love the things above and not the things on the ground.

 The things on the earth are; Fornication, Uncleanness, inordinate affection, anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication, lies to mention a few.  And what are we to do to the things on the earth? We are to Discipline, render impotent, subdue, eliminate them from our lives, we are to Mortify them. Colossians 3:5  brings us to this question, what are THE THINGS ABOVE ?

 The things above are the things that might not be seen with the physical eyes. The things above are so important that once you start to look at them, you start to become like them. Repeat after me and say I SEE.

Glory to Jesus

Examples of the things above are Bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of the mind, meekness, forgiveness, forbearing one another and lastly and the most important things above is LOVE , to Love one another. Imagine wearing a clean and well ironed Shirt without any button,What a Great disaster ? That button is Love - It keeps the shirt intact. Love brings together all things that are above. Say Jesus help me to Love.

 It does not matter who and where you are in Christ, it is important to keep that button intact. It is important you keep on looking and fix your gaze on the things ABOVE. It is important you put on the things above like a regalia. The things above might look simple but without them we are nothing, because they are pivotal basics of our FAITH;

Peter once set his eyes on the things above, but the moment he set his eyes on the things below and lost focus on the things above, The Bible says he began to SINK. Matthew 14:30

Are you also like that, brothers and sisters, you once set your eyes on the things above, but you shifted your focus, cry to the Lord today and ask him to save you just as Peter did. Matthew 14:30

Jesus stretched forth his hands and saved Peter if you cry to him today, he would save you from the BOISTEROUS WINDS OF LIFE.  He would save you from any form of filthy communication, Pray and tell it to Jesus that Lord help me to keep my eyes on THE THINGS ABOVE, Pray and tell Jesus to help you to look at the things which are not seen. Everything that was made were made from things unseen.

Declare Clarity over every spheres of your life. Repeat after me and say; I see, I know, I say, I do

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

 Finally pray and tell God please help me to look at the Eternal Things.
