THE EAGLE'S VOICE.

THEME: THE MINISTRY OF ELISHA.
TOPIC: THE LAST DAY OF ELISHA.
Scripture Reading: 2 KINGS 13:14-21.
Everyone living on earth today will one day come to his or her last day. This is the day of death. It is the day that everything will come to an end,and man will start his journey to eternity where he will meet his maker face to face (Ecclesiastes 12:6-7).
Death is not a cessation of life but a separation from the body (Hebrews 9:27). Elisha became sick, and on his sick bed, the king of Israel paid him a visit and wept over his face in a lamentable manner.
Elisha gave him prophetic instructions while holding his hands to shoot an arrow through the window and to strike the ground with the arrow. Surprisingly, king Joash did it just three times and Elisha was angry with him, and said "If you had done it five or six times you would have struck Syria till you had destroy it,
but now you will only strike Syria three times" (2 King 13:14-19).
Every action in life has a spiritual implication if only we can be discerning,then we will take our lives serious. This was the last prophetic operation of Elisha and the king failed to maximize it. You will not miss your opportunity for a triumphant living in Jesus name.
Elisha eventually died and he was buried. Brethren, anointing is not an antidote to death. Everybody will come to his last day on the earth one day. The main question we all must ask ourselves before the time comes is, if I should close my eyes to this world in death ,where will I open it in eternity? Heaven or hell?.
When death comes, anointing as it were at times has no saying,if not, a man of God like Elisha should not have died at all. To demonstrate the wonder workings of God, a dead man was dropped into the sepulchre of Elisha by mistake and he jumped back to life, walking and running on his feet. What a miracle.
The anointing in the bones of Elisha that can not prevent him from being captured by death was doing crusade inside the grave. So Elisha died with the anointing,that was supposed to be transferred to Gehazi. But because of his lack of sensitivity to divine timing he was imparted with leprosy and went into thin cloud.
God will grant us the grace to remain focused to the end in Jesus name.
Prayer points.
1) Father in the name of Jesus,grant me the grace to live my life with the consciousness of eternal destination in heaven.
2) Father in the name of Jesus,I receive grace to live prepared in order to maximize every God given opportunity for greatness that comes my way.
3) Father in the name of Jesus help me to fight a good fight and to finish my course.
