I want you to pay attention to these three words: EDUCATION, SMARTNESS
AND SENSITIVITY. In the world, the first two words rule their operations.
However, when you come into the kingdom, the ruling word is sensitivity. In
life, some will be educated and some will be smart but when you step on the
Kingdom road for a journey, the ruling word is sensitivity. Education is a
function of the brain and the soul of man, smartness is a manifestation of the
residue of sin in man, but sensitivity is a manifestation of a heart cultivated
by God. Sensitivity will give your life a cutting-edge, making you effective
and productive.
There are five things that are connected to your sensitivity:
(a) Your destiny;
(b) Your greatness;
(c) Your victory;
(d) Your accuracy; and
(e) Your escape from danger.
When you look at the life of Simeon in our text above, that man had
waited for the consolation of Israel for years and he was old, but you know
what? The day Jesus was going to be dedicated in the temple, nobody knew, but
in verse 27, Bible says “And he came by the Spirit into the temple”. The
Amplified version says “And prompted by the Holy Spirit, he came into the
temple”. What a sensitivity! That is the place that God wants you and I to come
to, that critical things in life and destiny will not be hidden from you.
PRAYER: LORD, from today I give myself
to activities that will enhance my sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Amen!
